In 2011, a group of female administrators in Fredericksburg were in the process of planning the county’s annual Admin Retreat when the topic of WELV came up.

Inspired by the approach taken by WELV to inspire, motivate, support, and uplift women, these ladies agreed that it would be awesome if they could have this same level of interaction with the female leaders in their division. Of course they could . . . and now they do!

WILd (Women in Leadership) was developed and implemented during the 2012-13 school year. This dynamic and powerful group of 15 female administrators in Fredericksburg City Public Schools join together for professional development, book talks, community service/outreach, school based service, and a host of other activities on a regular basis.

WILd turned 4 this year . . . . Wow! how time flies!!!
