Education leaders in Region I have formed a dynamic new WELV Affiliate Chapter . . . D3, or “Dining, Discussion, and De-Briefing.”

After gathering together during the WELV Annual Conference in March of 2014, D3 members met in October of 2014 to discuss the chapter’s basic agenda and opportunities for action. They Dined. They Discussed. They De-Briefed.

Members also got together in late February of 2015 to discuss Margaret Grogan and Carol Shakeshaft’s book, “Women and Educational Leadership,” and to explore opportunities in Region I for WELV’s Ambassadors Program.

The group intends to meet again in 2015 – 2016 to break bread together, talk about what they can do to advance the interests and goals of women education leaders in Virginia, and learn from each other what is happening in their own professional lives.
