WALL— Women Administrators Leading Loudoun (REGION IV)

Inspired by the formation of WILd (“Women in Leadership”) in Region III, Jennifer Cavanaugh, an assistant principal at Broad Run High School, teamed up with Jill Broaddus, the principal of Mountain View Elementary School, and Jennifer Ewing, the principal of Horizon Elementary School, to form WALL (“Women Administrators Leading Loudoun”), a new Affiliate Chapter of WELV.

WALL had its first meeting in November of 2014. An invitation was sent to every female leader in Loudoun County Public schools for the first event, which was at a winery in Purcellville. Thirty women attended this first WALL event.

Participants were introduced to WELV and asked to complete a brief survey to gauge interest and find out what events they would like to attend in the future. A number of participants expressed interest in taking on leadership positions in WALL and attending future networking and social events. The founders of WALL are actively engaged in planning and coordinating new events for the 2015 – 2016 school year.

ALL EDUCATORS IN REGION IV are invited to participate in WALL meetings and activities. Click here to see if your school is in our region.
